Meet the Founder

Ming Jin is an educator, teacher-researcher, and founder of Pico Ripple Foundation. Her work is grounded in a simple question: How can people continue to learn, adapt, and carry forward what matters as the world changes?

Her work began in education, where she has explored how children develop curiosity, judgment, and the ability to make sense of a changing world. More recently, this has included teacher-research on AI literacy with young learners, presented at ICER 2026, as well as work with the Pulitzer Center around AI accountability and community conversation.

These experiences also led to a broader interest: not only in preparing people for new technologies, but in strengthening the human capacities and knowledge that change can sometimes put at risk—from ways of thinking and learning to language, culture, relationships, and community knowledge.

Ming founded Pico Ripple around the belief that meaningful change does not always begin at scale. A lesson, a question, a preserved story, a small experiment, or a conversation can create ripples far beyond where it begins.

Through Pico Ripple, she hopes to create space for those small beginnings—and help promising ideas grow into meaningful, lasting impact.
